PLAYING SYSTEM: FIDE Swiss 9 rounds – All FIDE rules apply – Two groups according to ELO Rating
First Group above 2000, Second Group under 2100.
Players with Rating between 2000 – 2099 have the right of choise to participate either in the First or Second Group.

RATE OF PLAY: 90 min for the first 40 moves + 30 min until the end of the game + 30 sec per move from the 1st move.

TIE BREAKS: 1st Results in same point group, 2nd Sum of progressive score, 3rd Buchholz, 4th Sonn. Berger, 5th Wins.

Between tied players money prizes are divided equally. In case of a player having the right to two or more prizes he gets the higher one (Open Greek Championship prizes will be added).
Cups will be given to the 1st – 2nd – 3rd of final standing and 1st of special categories.
Medals to the 4th – 5th – 6th of final standing and 2nd – 3rd of special categories.
By no appearance in the Closing Ceremony the right for prizes is forfeited.

PARTICIPATION FEE
FIRST GROUP: Rating above 2300 free, between 2200-2299: 40 € (30 € U20), 2100-2199: 55 € (40 € U20), 2000-2099: 70 € (55 €)
SECOND GROUP: Players between 2000 – 2099 free, under 2000: 45 € (35 € U20) and with International Rating: 40 € (30 € U20)
